Have been hit by Antivirus 2008. Do I post the 3 logs?

Saw someone with 2009, directed to a post where they had to submit 3 logs. Is this the case with someone with 2008 also? If I'm able to figure out how to do that, will someone be able to give assitance in removing it? Or are ther different remedies or links when dealing with this. Thanks
