Howdy, I werent sure where to put it so I'll try here.
So about two weeks ago I finally got my new computer built up.
But a new computer rarely comes without its problem. After some playing my computer tends to either freeze, get a blue screen with lots of numbers and restart, turn black and automatically restart or show lots of weird colors on the screen and freeze.
Yeah I know, it may seem a lot. But I suspect this may be from the same problem.
Reasons I believe so is because all this happens after I've played for some time.
It may be an hour, or two hours.
I'm a bit confused, since I've managed to play a four hours Supreme Commander (Which is a pretty high demanding game) match without anything happened.
While playing games like WoW, Crysis or Rainbow six vegas, my PC freezes after minimum 2 hours. Even with Supreme Commander it has stopped sometimes. So I get the feeling this is pretty random.
First I suspected this may be because my Radeon 4870 x2 2 gig had a GPU temperature of 85 c without me even playing. So I got fan program and configured my graphic card fan speed from 25% to 55%. That resulted in a temperature drop from 85 c to 40 c.(This is also without any form for overclocking)
This actually did improve my playtime without my computer crashing a little. But still, after some playing my computer crashes.
So I don't suspect overheating being the issue alone. Actually, I'm so frustrated right now, I have no idea
What I have noticed though, is a blinking orange light on my mother board near my graphic card. While all the other lights are green, this one is orange.
If the light indicates anything about my graphic card, or my mother board, I don't know.
I don't suspect anything being wrong with my graphic card, since it runs Crysis really smood without any lagg, but I may be wrong.
What I can see near the light is either HD_LED or HD_LFD (Pretty hard to see).
