    Wireless Problem
    « on: September 23, 2008, 10:03:33 PM »
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite 1415-S105, and reinstalled the operating system.

I have gotten everything to work with installing the drivers, except the wireless which seems to be detected in device manager, however I am unable to install the drivers for it. When running the setup for the drivers it says that it was successful on installing. But it doesn't work and device manager still detects a Ethernet controller.

The driver package I'm using I found on some driver site, because Toshiba does not have the 1415-s105 listed.

Anyway the package I'm using was said to be compatible with that model number. it's called "s193wlanx.exe"

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks.

    Download, and install Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go Report>Quick Report-Summary and choose Plain Text.

Now copy what is under Network and paste it in your next reply.

I have it connected to a lan, but I would also like it to be connected through the wireless (like it was before I reinstalled)

BTW, when I click on PCI/PNP NEtwork it shows that it does indeed have a wireless adaptar. It's called "Atheros 802.11g Wireless Adaptar"

I will try searching for drivers for that.

Update: After hours of searching, I cannot find anything. This is so frustrating.
