Windows XP Pro sp2

Just a question My win.xp pro is slipstreamed with sp2 and I put in my computer sp3 so should I remove sp3 so my win,cd will work with out it telling me that I have a newer os ?? thanks

LOL Okay can or will I be able to use my win.cd with sp2 on my computer that has sp3.Like doing a scf /scannow or a repair

I should think so, to be safe you could uninstall sp3, do your scan then reinstall it.

    If I understand you correctly, if you use your XP cd it doesn't matter what SP you have, its gonna install whatever is on the CD.

    Just for you peoples information to my question above you can not use a XP sp2 disc to do a sfc /scannow or repair if you have installed sp3 on your computer you have to slip stream sp3 to your windows Cd as XPsp3 makes your os newer

    Can't you just type sfc/scannow at the command prompt without using the CD.

    All Finished slip stream sp3 in my Xp disc then it let me do a sfc /scannow Thanks for all the help
