    line on monitor

    my computer is windows xp. I turned on my pc this morning and I noticed a pink vertical line on my monitor. the last time I used my pc was last night. I tried everything, I shut down my pc, I checked the cables and yet the line is still there.

      Can you try another monitor on the computer OR try the monitor on another computer.

        Not possible at all? Can you not bring it to a neighbors house and try it?

        I suspect a broken monitor, but we won't know if you try it another computer.
