Safely remove Hardware won't pick up my usb camera
    « on: October 03, 2008, 12:47:21 PM »
Windows XP SP 3; ..when I click on srh it only recognizes my internal C drive and Sandisk USB Card reader...how do I get it to read my Canon 40D and is it safe to remove the camera after download without recognizing it???
Can you point me to a link on how to make this work please...

    Srh?

So, when you plug in the camera, does Windows see it?

Yes,the window  camera connected comes up for the canon EOS D40 (correct camera) and it used to give options eg; ACDSee, Windows Picture Viewer or Picasa 2,

Now that window is blank.  So to download pics I go to a program directly and down load from there... this still does not resolve the SRH issue

      Thanks  Heinz
