    « on: December 10, 2008, 11:46:28 AM »
I am having a problem with windows vista ultimate x86 sp1 i installed a fresh version and my problem is that when i try to restart my pc from the taskbar it shows the first HP screen then goes black and stays there wont load windows... But if i shut it down from the taskbar and then boot it back up it loads windows fine any way to fix this? all my hardware works fine and is compatible with vista.. i have had this problem every time i install vista i tried a fresh reinstall a few times so i know its not the problem its not a big deal but does get annoying when all i want to do is restart after installing a program that requires it and i have to shut down an boot back up everytime.. thanks in advance.

Did you reinstall with the disc that came with your PC?

I reinstalled with the vista disk again my pc didnt come with a disk because i built it everything else runs smooth and perfect only problem im having with vista is this small annoying restart issue... altho i found a way around programs that need to restart i just shut down an boot back up and they finish installing as if i restarted but it would still be nice to know what causes it...

If you have already formatted the computer and clean installed the Windows Vista on the computer, the issue could be caused by the compatibility between Windows Vista and your hardware; you'd better contact your device manufacturer for more information. It could be only a driver problem and be solved easy doing some updates.
