I'm using windows 98 and internet explorer 6.0. The problems are as follows: it is very very slow at opening any windows and the internet explorer will only open one window at a time. When I click on a link that would open another window it hesitates then seems to ignore the request. Any ideas anyone?

You my dear friend are suffering from the Yahoo Toolbar issue.

I'm sure you have yahoo on your computer.

This must have started to happen immediately after you installed Yahoo IM version 6 with all of the extras (toolbar, mail, etc.).  To correct the problem You got to go to add/remove programs and uninstalled all of the Yahoo components , if you want you can keep the Yahoo Instant Messenger.   ;)

Then restart your computer and see what happens.

Yep, and you can use CCleaner to do this.

OK. I posted reply #7 yesterday, including the picture.
Later last night, Carbon told me, the picture was missing from my post. I checked, and it was missing, so I reposted it.
Today, the picture in reply #7 is back.
