Can't see files on Hard Drive
    « on: October 03, 2008, 12:59:12 PM »
XP SP 3 when I go to  "My Computer" and click on the partioned Hard drive   C  or  D  I always get  the "Open with ..."  window instead of a window with all the files.
I need to copy some files to CD but can't access them

    Any ideas anyone  Thank you

Download drive.reg: http://technize.com/content/downloads/drive.reg to your desktop.
Double click on downloaded file, and allow registry merge.
    Restart computer.

Did you go through all those steps, including registry modifications?

There was no MS32DLL to remove nor "Hacked by Godzilla" Also next step windows cannot find "gpedit.msc" even though typed correctly.
          That's where I  bog down.

Continue with Extended Solution section, which is the most important part.
I can't do this for you....

It has to be text file. Notepad is better to do it. Make sure, you save that file as regfix.reg

The registry is now over copied...however when i click on C Drive in "my Computer" it still comes up with "open with" window

Something NEW, when I open CD-Burner XP it shows all the files when I look at drive C to burn an ISO image, etc

              Does this help
