      You had a virus, which was cured, and THEN you used fix from my link, or....?

        Yes, the fix from your link fixed the problem.  The link suggests that "autorun.inf" is a virus?no?

            I did a copy / paste / correct / preview and it looked O.K. before I posted.

            I now see it went wrong somehow - it should read :-

            Go to command prompt and write this command
            c:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
            c:\> del autorun.inf
            d:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
            d:\> del autorun.inf
            restart the pc

                I prefer you to resinstall the operating system since you have missed some files while copying files during thre installation.
