    Setting up a file server?
    « on: October 06, 2008, 09:52:13 PM »
I have a file server with INTRANET. It has 2 network cards and has windows server 2000. I have a dsl modem with a wireless router. How do i configure the network cards and wireless router for the DHCP utility in windows server 2000 to distribute the ip addresses correctly through the wireless router and out to the pc's.

You plug the server (one card only is needed) into the router. You install and enable dhcp services on the server, and make sure they are off on the router. Also, give the server a static IP address, and reserve it in dhcp settings.
