    Do you have both sticks of RAM in?
    If so, try to start computer with one only, preferably the new one.
    Yes I did, however , just the same, not working.

    When you turn computer on, can you see HD activity light blinking?

        Do u mean I take the HD out and put it in a different computer and run diagnostic?

            Hi, I found out the CD-ROM has problem just now, so I think I better stop to ask for your help at the moment and let me consider to buy another one or not and come back to you, thank you very much.

            Brand new Dual Layer DVD burners which will read all types of CD/DVD's are about 40 Bucks including shipping @ newegg.com if you are Stateside...

              Hi, I found out the CD-ROM has problem just now, so I think I better stop to ask for your help at the moment and let me consider to buy another one or not and come back to you, thank you very much.
              Hi, is me again,I found the problem was the motherboard,so I bought a FoxconnG31MXK motherboard.I installed WindownXP and microsoft office and I tried to load the drivers from the CD which came together with the motherboard, however I couldn't open it from my computer. The massage said that why couldn't open was because the setting was not correct, I need to load the drive again that can fix the problem. I don't understand why because I didn't  and couldn't download  the drivers. What can I do ?Can you help me on that ? Thanks

              I think you got a new board when the CD/DVD drive was the problem all along...
              The drivers you should be using on that new build should have shipped with the MBoard.
