can't get into user account...no password

Okay, here's the problem:

I bought a laptop for my wife (Toshiba A205-S477w/Windows Vista), and set up 2 accounts. One for her (no password), and one for me (administrator). Well, she flipped a lid when I told her I was the admin., so I changed hers to admin and deleted mine. I left it with her being admin, but with no password so all she had to do was click on her icon and go to town.

Well, it didn't go that smoothly. When she turned on the laptop, she saw her icon, but it also asked for a password....ack!!....so now we're staring at the log-in screen with no idea how to get into the account. Any ideas???

When you start up in Safemode, does it ask for a password?

Try configuring auto login... just remember, if you do this, even if you add an account in the future, it will automatically log you on and will not prompt for username and password, or allow you to really switch into another account without logging out first, making the "system" a bit redundant.

Try <link removed>. I was trying to get the free service, which takes 72 hours, and that did not work, but they did display the logins which was all I needed to get in.

We dont allow programs that tell a user what the password is because of the serious impact that can cause...
Eg: Finding out what a users possible email password might be, as well as other various password based services.
