    Dual Boot Vista on Mac
    « on: October 15, 2008, 12:37:35 PM »
I just installed Vista on my Macbook Pro, but none of the drivers to make the keyboard, mouse, wireless network, etc. are working. So, I can't get online to do a Windows Update to get those drivers. I don't have the Leopard disk on me, so right now I'm on my PC hoping I can download the drivers and write them to a CD and do it that way. Is that a possibility or is there a better way?

I really need to know if I need the MAC drivers or the Vista drivers. Everything works fine on the MAC side, nothing works well on the Vista side. So, I just need to know if I need the MAC drivers or the Vista drivers to get the above things working correctly, especially the wireless network connection. Thanks again.

Oh think it's just an article about a MAC user that switched to Vista.

              Check this out:

Also, can you directly connect your laptop to your router via Ethernet to download the drivers? <Rant> Or is your MacBook so far set by Apples poor standards that it doesnt have Ethernet? (All laptops should have Ethernet... even if the plugin is too big for aesthetics) </rant>

The drivers are on your mac.  First, boot into the mac side and do a software update.  Mac sure all software is up to date.

Once this is done, open up boot camp assistant (applications--> utilities--> boot camp assistant).

When you go through the assistant it should ask you if you want to burn a drivers cd for vista.  If you chose "no," then you'd be in your current situation.
