it freezes on the nomal mode the if you click on the safe modes it just shows all the driver then it crashes
( the way i put XP on was putting it by puttin the hdd it in to a hp compaq nx6125 and installed Xp that way)

the bit after the \  it changes

    there's no problem with the way you installed XP. When you boot up in safe mode which driver does it get to before crashing? What we need to do is boot it into something else (this is going to be difficult with no CD drive) and remove the driver that's causing it to crash.

    1) You need a CD drive for that machine.
    2) If you insist on running XP on 128M of RAM it's going to be painful at best.
    3) Sometimes it pays to understand the limitations of the machine you are struggling with.
    4) Installing XP on that drive in another machine and then moving it to the laptop has a small chance of success and shouldn't have even been suggested.

      i put the HDD in to later vertion of the laptop and it loads top the windosws logo and restarts
