default "save as" for images

Hey guys, just need a hand here, my internet explorer, say i find a pic i want to save and i right click it well it only lets me save them as .BMP files. It no longer gives me the JPEG option even when it is a jpeg. Any ideas?

Have you installed/uninstalled any software or hardware prior to this incident?
