A few months ago, I started a thread called "Is my monitor dying?" As it turns out, it was. I started saving money to buy a LCD monitor, as I'm tired of lugging around those CRT monsters. However, I have become aware of something I didn't think of at the time. A scan of my computer shows that the video adapter I have, an S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR, is not VGA compatible! I need advise on what to do next. Is it simply a case of installing another compatible adapter and plug in a new LCD monitor or is it more involved? Would I need to be concerned about other things? Any opinions on which adapter? Be advised, I am not into gaming, if that matters.
