Computer dialing when ever it wants to...

I have a laptop with dial-up.  For the past month, when I turn it on, it likes to connect to my ISP.  I have removed all new software but it still does it.  Is there any way to find out what piece of software is asking for a connection?

Ok, I read what you said to read.  I think I have the service pack installed.  Are you saying I have some sort of malware?

Can I just remove spybot like it says at the bottom of the first step and save myself all those teatime steps?

Ok, spybot is uninstalled and the system was restarted.  I have AVG 8.0 on the computer.  I went to the list of things to look for in add/remove programs and found that I had one of the list.  It was Viewpoint Media Player.  I removed it.

I will keep going.  I may go to bed and continue tomorrow.

Am I ok so far?

This message is for Broni.  I started a process to get malware files to you but had to stop mid stream as the files that were told to me to download were way to big for a dial-up connection.  I downloaded the now and want to basically start from scratch and send off the log files you desire.

Is this ok to start over?  I sure hope so.  John

Besides, you need to post all logs in malware section, to which I provided a link.

A typo on my part.  I guess what I am saying is that now that I have all the stuff downloaded that is called out for, I will start from the top of the document on Malware and complete it to the end and send the three files it indicates.  I have done that and here are the three files.
