IE and Firefox crash constantly

Hey guys on my job computer I have both Firefox and IE and when I browse the web they constantly seem to crash.  On some sites more often then others.  Firefox seems to crash more surprisingly.  Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Connection type ?
Machine specs ?

Do other machines at work have the same issues ?

Sorry, Windows XP, t1 connection.  The Ram in my computer isnt outstanding at all but my bosses computer has even less and hers doesnt have these problems.

Sorry...but RAM is the only thing in that machine ? ?

You know there is no reason to act cocky to newcomers.  I am a new poster on this site im sorry if I didnt follow the golden rules you wish to have in every single line of text on this website.  I'll solve the problem myself  ::)

that's supposed to be enough information? the OS, connection type, and a comparison between your computers RAM versus your bosses computers RAM?

      I did some malware cleaning and a defrag yesturday and still not much of a difference.  But what I have just noticed is that the system is no longer registering one of the sticks of ram.  I noticed this in the BIOS.  I replaced the stick with another stick out of an identicle machine and sure enough it picked it up.  No more vram messages on my screen :)

      No crashes since.  Strange I have never had a stick that died usually they are just DOA or good to go.   ???
