    It's clean.
Try my previous advice about "sfc".

I just tried that, and it asked me to insert the Windows CD. However, when I got out the folder of paperwork that came with my laptop, there was no Windows CD. All that was in there was a card from Dell that says: "Your new computer does not require an opertating system CD or drivers CDs. Instead, if you ever need to reinstall your software, use one of the following methods: Microsoft Windows System Restore or Dell PC Restore."

Well, I think, you have two options:
    1. Get (buy,  borrow) Windows CD to perform "sfc" command, and eventually Windows repair.
    2. Back up your data, and use Dell's Recovery Partition to reinstall Windows.
