Also, I don't think something in a fixed orbit has an apogee and perigee, but I'm no expert. I just live here.

I know that satellites such as weather satellites that are orbiting the earth so they are looking at the same country all the time. Does that mean it has an apogee and perigee if they are in a fixed orbit with the earth?

An orbit has to have an apogee, a perigee and a heck list of other things, but apogee cant be calculated if the orbit is too eccentric(on the outer side).

Google is amazing, I put the coordinates into the Google website, selected satellite view and the pointer was exactly on my house.
Zooming in allows me to see the bird poop on the roof below the TV aerial.
The satellite view is about 2 years old.

I'm here almost every day but I don't post much because I feel CH has lost a bit of it's cooperative spirit in favour of the 'don't tread on my toes' approach.

There was once a time when beginners with wrong answers were still encouraged but then politely guided in the right directions.

Almost enough subject matter there for a new thread.

The street view is fairly recent... I can see your house from the front.
Nice neighborhood... green grass... dont see that here.
