    generic host process for win32 error message

    Hi folks , each time i start my laptop i receive above message  , im also having trouble with my sound device drivers , ive downloaded new drivers from dell , but have to reinstall them each time i power up , im guessing the problems are connected as they started at the same time . i have adell inspiron 9400 win xp service pack 3  netopia 2247nwg wireless router . cheers

    There's an outside chance the problem is caused by malware but please read  KB894391

      hi , i have read above link and it says it only applies to service pack 2 , and i have sp3 , i tried to download there recommended fix and received a message saying , " not for this version of windows " .
       do you think the sound device error is a separate issue ? thank ,
