    CD not able to copy
    « on: November 05, 2008, 05:39:02 AM »
I am using a LG DVD Re-Writer. And I am using XP OS. But problem is that whenever I try to copy cd or dvd in my harddisk. It starts copying but in between a errors comes  (i.e : cannot copy avseq : Data error (cyclic redundancy check) and then it stops copying. When I Press ok only my half cd is copied to my harddisk. I would also like to tell you that in my harddisk there is lots of space. And if i watching the cd i am able to see it properly. Only the problem is that i am not able to copy in my computer. But still I am facing this problem. So please give me a solution.

    Regards,

    Anjeep

Does this happen with all CDs or DVDs? Some things can not be copied because the maker has put copyright restrictions on the CD or DVD. Or, it may be that you CD Drive has dust and dirt in it. Or you put you fingertip on the surface and left a smudge. Clean it gently with a soft cloth.

I don't think they're copyrighted because Mr. Anjeep said he copied about half the CD before it failed.

        Proves nothing.
