    Excel files not opening

    Hello everyone

    I have an odd problem-
    I am unable to open any Excel files in My Documents\Explorer. Excel will open, but not the file itself. I have to then go to Open, and find the file again to open it.
    This only happens for Excel files, and only on this computer. Its a work computer that many people use, and I have been unable to determine if someone has played with any settings...

    Does it give you an error message when you try to just double click on an excel file?

    What if you put save an Excel file to a location other than My Documents\Explorer?  Does Excel behave the same way when you double click on an Excel file?  If, instead of double clicking, you right click on a file and select Open, does it behave the same way?
