    I was looking in the device manager and i saw this
    what is it?
    I have a eMachines T6528

    ACPI is the thing in your computer that lets your computer go to sleep, and controls actions such as device power on and power off (and of course, as mentioned before, sleep...)

    ACPI stands for:
    Advanced Configuration and Power Interface

    Its not a device on its own, its pretty much built into your motherboard... moreover part of the BIOS...
