Keyboard freeze - cannot install Windows at all
    « on: November 17, 2008, 06:28:18 PM »
Had to fdisk my hd (mbr included). When I get to the 'I agree' prompt for installing Windows, the f8 key doesn't work. Done this dozens of times before. Tried several legal versions of Xp & even ME. Tried different keboards (USb & standard). Tried HD-specific boot disk & XP boot disks. Tried a suggested RAM test scenario. I tried this with another brand & older model HD. Still freezing. Is this a motherboard issue? Are both my HDs bad? I even pulled out the battery. I tried adding a line the autoexec.bat on my bootdisk. Dell support isn't any help. Help!!!
