Oh wait, I misread your post because I was thinking it was a virus due to Tylerasome's post.

It is NOT a virus, and there is NO indication of a virus.

            Try: shutdown -s -t "00"

hi again i tried your fix which is  the shutdown -s -t "00" but it did not work. because it still executes the DOS or command prompt and shuts the computer anytime the Command prompt is executed.  i tried looking for any suspicious looking batch file but i can't find any. i am realy having difficulties now coz i cant use the cmd or the command prompt

                I hope for another fix!...

                thanks in advance.

Why cant you use Command Prompt?

Also, why can't you go to Start --> Turn Off Computer?

oops i think we have some misunderstanding....

ok my point is i want to use the command prompt. but i cant use the command prompt because every time i execute the command/ DOS prompt my computer shuts down by itself. it is very annoying because i can't test all the batch files that i have created cause every time the DOS/command prompt is executed is shuts down automatically. and another thing that i have noticed is that i think i got it when my sister inserted a USB removable drive and quickly accessed the removable drive by double clicking it. i noticed something weird that popped up on the screen and it says "password:winzip123" its kinda weird cause i am not installing anything. then after that my problem on auto shutdown occured. so is it a virus or what? as far as i know my antivirus is updated

i hope you won't loose patience on my questions.

                  thanks in advance
