One infection hanging around . . .
« on: November 23, 2008, 02:43:23 PM »
I am helping a friend out who had numerous bad infection on her machine.  I read through other threads on this forum, downloaded SuperAntiSpyware and nuked most of it (There was quite a bit.  However, one of the Virus 2009 infections still seems to be on there.   A window pops up and says "Microsoft Windows Alert!

Impact of Vulnerability: Remote Code Execution/ Virus Infection/ Unexpected shutdowns.  Protect your PC from this threats (sic) by downloading antivirus software.

Click OK to proceed (Recommended)

So I ran blacklight and nothing came up.  I ran hijackthis.  Here is the log.  Any help you could give me would be wonderful.

Sorry for the wait.  Things are a little busy with the holiday season and upcoming finals.  This HijackThis log shows several infections that need to be removed ASAP.  If you would still like help, please read through the instructions in this thread...
http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,46313.0.html

We need the SAS and MBAM logs, along with a new HijackThis log (we need an update to see if things have changed).  These logs contain important information, so we need all logs to deal with an infection appropriately.
