Microsoft Outlook

I get tons of spam each day, and our server at work has no filter for it. Consequently, I read the messages that are really for me, and delete the rest in bulk.
However, when I move a read item I want to save into the saved folder, it disappears, and I am unable to retrieve it. How can I prevent that, and where has it gone (it's not in the delted items folder).

Have you tried searching for the file in Outlook? (Message search)
