does my pc have info about every time i used it?
    « on: December 04, 2008, 06:43:14 PM »
A website of mine was hacked into last month, and I suspect a certain person of doing it from my computer. If I can somehow find a record - a log - of all the dates and times on which my computer was logged onto, I could confirm or dispel my suspicions regarding this person.

So my question is, does Windows XP Pro have such a log that lists every date and time the system was logged onto, and, if so, how do I access it?

    Thanks.

The direction to be looking would be at your website...not your individual machine.
Who is the host ? ?

try event viewer, then select system...scroll to the right and it should be there...

the "eventlog" events will provide when the computer was booted, and I believe winlogon keeps track of logons log-offs.

      A website of mine

Do you mean you own/administer the website, or is this an account you have on another website?

        questioned asked:

"dates and times on which my computer was logged onto"

that maybe true also but it's also going to be in event viewer system also..IMO

          Thanks, guys/gals.
patio: i could ask the host, but simply knowing the time and date my computer was used is sufficient in this case.
          fgdn17: very helpful
BC_Programmer: also very helpful. FYI, I am one of the owners/administrators of the site.
