Networking

Hey everyone... My desktop computer, which will soon be the host computer for my network, has NO Ethernet Port... Becuase of this I will be buying a Network Adpater... But I have a question on one of them... This picture below is a Linksys EtherFast 10/100 USB Network Adapter, but I need to know if I can plug an ETHERNET cable into it... This is becuase my desktop will not be wireless... I know that the Ethernet cable goes into the adapter, and the adapter goes into the computer via USB... I have looked at the picture, and it looks like the part that comes up is a little small fro teh cable to plug into.... What do you all think?
...

Yes Flame, you can.  That is a wired adapter, not wireless.  You just flip up that little door looking thing on the end.

Ok good. That's what I wanted it to do, but it just didn't look like an Ethernet cable could it in there. Thanks! (and also thanks for the congrats. on 2k)  ;)

    Flame,

I was looking at some of the reviews for that adapter as well as similar adapters.  It seems that you have to be very careful with them or the door will break off.  Since this is going on your desktop PC and not a portable, you may want to consider something along this design.

I don't know anything about this specific model just wanted you to see the design.

What about this one?  Nothing to break off.  It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes.  It requires a USB cable to connect to the PC.  It has indicator lights, too.  You can put it right on the desk next to your keyboard.  I've got one, it works.
