taskbar isn't working in IE

My task bar (with the start button and time, etc.) appears when i am just at my desktop, but when i go into internet explorer it isn't there anymore. Where did it go, and how do i get it back lol?

Right click on it, choose properties from the resulting menu, turn off "auto hide the taskbar".
