   My biggest complaint about Windows Vista is it's wimpy sound scheme. I've tried copying and pasting Windows XP sounds, but it won't let me use them. I liked the logon/logoff sounds of Windows 98SE. I would just like to know if there is somewhere I could pick up the sound schemes of the earlier O.S.'s and apply them to Vista.

You can use any sound you want for Windows sound.

Just what I said -it won't let me use them. I put them in the Media folder. When I try to use the sounds for certain functions, it doesn't see them.
