Site Advisor never saved me, either, but it's very useful for me, when I recommend any link to someone else.
When fixing someone's computer, I'd rather avoid, any solution, download, etc. from any "yellow" (maybe), or "red" (never) site.

Is SiteAdvisor still forcing itself to be seen?  Ever since they made it so you can't hide the toolbar, I haven't been using it, which is a shame because it was a nice tool to have handy.

Dudes. Just use a modified HOSTS file and Noscript.

You can surf ANY website regardless of Siteadvisor's go or no-go.

I'm getting rid of it shortly. It won't work unless you have the IE plugin installed also. It wants a bit too much control for me. WoT is good, but like AVG's Link Scanner if you don't have a beefed up system, it's going to slow down your surfing...

McAfee has updated their Firefox version of SiteAdvisor to version 2.9.  I do not know about their IE version.   The only difference I see is that the options have been rearranged a bit and their seem to be a few new ones.  The statusbar button is still a little to tall though.

I have been using WOT also and it seems to work similarly to SiteAdvisor, but it is much more compact.

Now using WOT. Internet Security | WOT Web of Trust

It's pretty good so far.

At least in my case, with WOT, Google results seems to be loading faster, than with Site Advisor.
It looks like McAfee is losing the only good application, they had.

If you recall CH had a black mark on Site Advisor for some time...
Another reason i refuse to use it and/or recommend it... 8)

It's all about WOT now!

Rate CH using WOT web safety ratings. How to register with WOT

We have a Excellent reputation now but more positive input is never a bad thing.

The WOT - Web Of Trust add-on works with FF and IE.

Same here. The last SiteAdvisor update added a mcsacore.exe service which I hadn't noticed before. Considering that SiteAdvisor was working just fine, I couldn't understand why suddenly it needs a service to do it's work.
