    no audio device
    « on: December 23, 2008, 07:58:28 AM »
My daughter had her computer (Sony Vaio) reimaged by the tech department at her college. Now she doesn't have any audio. When we go to the control panel it reads no audio device. The operating system is Windows XP.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

A Sony Vaio is a laptop right?

The audiocard drivers should be on a CD you got with it.

That's because they should have been kept with all the other documents related to the laptop for cases just like these...

Well, log onto the Sony Vaio website (Vaio.eu) and go to 'support'.

If you're based outside the EU, you probably have to go through sony.com

Of course it should have been kept with all the documents with this laptop but it wasn't and so that is why I'm trying to get help.

        Thanks for your suggestion.
