    I just got an  JVC Everio  GZ - MG330Au

    They told me I an Drag and Drop the Video Files from the Camcorder to my Computer.

    And the Files are in  MPEG-2 Format

    When I Drag them to my Dektop I see the Extantion  . MOD  not  . MPEG-

    What is this they dopn't play

    that is the format that the camera saves the files...normally you get some software with the camera that will let you pick the format the files will be saved.

    Do you have the software and manual for the camera?

      Yes but I thoiught I could just Drag and Drop and edit them.
      I have Somy Movie Studio 8.0 and it is realy good at that.

      So I did not want to put another program on the computer just for convertting.

      But if I have to I have to.
