Nothing Works

Hi everyone,
I hope you can help me, I appear to have a very serious problem.
When I turn on my computer all that happens is the makers name appears on screen and that's it, it gets stuck there. I doesn't boot and the power doesn't come through to my keyboard

Please Help

Does the computer just shut down when you get the the manufacturer information stage, or does it just freeze? Any beeping noises? Also, have you installed any new hardware/software prior to this incident?

Hm.... My father's computer had a problem like that a while back.  In his case, I believe it got stuck because he had a USB 200GB external hard drive connected, and the boot priority was causing the computer to lock up, because it searched that drive...  If you have some recent hardware that you installed, maybe you can remove those and then go into BIOS and change some settings to accomodate the hardware you removed.
