    popping noises???

    I have an Amd Athalon Xp 1500 133 ghz 992 meg ram WinXP Pro Sp3.I use mozilla for my browser.

    My brothers came down over christmas and fixed some of the problems it had for me. ( I didnt think it had any actually), but apparently it did. :-\

    Well one of them introduced threatfire to it and ran it to "get rid of any unknown virus attackable threats. and now it works good????
    My question is.... that now I keep getting popping noises and the taskbar is (from autohide) coming up, and opening IE windows are opening without any instruction from me, at irregular intervals.
    These seem to be the main offenders

    Seems to me that I now have something worth "FIXING".

      Also I have AVG and have had for some time, and Spybot search and destroy.

        Well spybot seems to have cured the IE windows opening inadvertantly, but I still get the popping noises and the taskbar keeps raising every time I get the noise.
