Can You Hook up a USB Hub to 2 PCs?

I have several devices that I want to hook up to 2 PCs that are a few feet apart. I rather not get into home networking because it seems rather hard and I don't think all of my devices would be compatible.

So can you share them or would I have to plug the hub into the computer I wish to use every time?

USB only supports 1 host per device.

there is no way to connect a USB device to two computers simultaneously.

Though you CAN buy some little USB devices that act like a network...still just like building a network though lol.

You might want to reconsider, networking is easy and all you would need at this point is a crossover calbe of 2 meters, which is around about $5 NZ Dollars so ~ $7-$8 US dollars

I want to share a scanner, a printer, and a backup hard drive, maybe more in the future. Is this possible through home networking?
