Lost my sound after computer re-install

Right click on both, Legacy, and Realtek audio drivers, click "Properties", "Driver" tab, and uninstall both drivers.
Restart computer, download this driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv-17188-2&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=366140&os=228&lang=en, and install it.

Can't seem to remove the Legacy driver (nothing in the propeties box).

After I came back from the restart (or actually, the PC), I got a message saying the audio controller had been found. We'll see.  Now, it says I need to put it in the Manager.

Did you install new driver from the link, I provided?

Yes, however, my PC had a crash (it's recovered now). Because the driver I guess didn't match up well with my system.

This is what I'd do...
Go back here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=366140
Download, and install all drivers listed in Original Drivers section.
We'll see how many yellow "!" marks will be left in Device Manager after that.

However, we still have to keep in mind, that the sound chip may be simply dead.

Nope, nothing like that Broni, lol. I`ll work this out somehow, maybe i'll take it to a "geek squad", lol. Anyhow, one more try.  ETA, HP tells me I need to be logged into my PC as an administrator to install the update (i`m logged in as owner).
