    Drive E : not opening
    « on: January 10, 2009, 12:33:18 AM »
In my computer there is three drive. (i.e : C, D And E) before e drive was shared in networking . But when yesterday I shared d drive also in networking. I got a problem.
Now I am unable to open drive e. because when I click on e it ask me to (open the box)
Asking choose the programme you want to use to open this file.

So please tell me how should I open that drive. Because there are data in that drive.

    Regards,

Do a system restore to a couple of weeks ago.

What happens when you right click, and go to Explore?

But, this isnt a solution to the problem, only a troubleshooting step. Your drive has been associated with a filetype, or the autorun file is pointing to something odd.

By "In my computer there is three drives" do you mean that drive E is a CD drive, or a hard drive?

No, none of your personal data will be lost.

If you are restoring back a week, any programs that have been installed within the past week might have to be reinstalled.

If you installed any programs in the last couple weeks - have the CD(s) handy.
