    Okay

Installed Win_7 on a completely separate HDD (seems to work ok except possible USB Pen drive corrption and failure to recognise a old promise RAID Card

    Issue is

When I hooked up the Win_7 Drive (as a slave) to my main XP install I can't get the Owner tab in the sharing and security context menu of the Documents and Settings folder of the Win_7 install.  So I took ownership of the whole drive. Now I just get an error saying that folder inaccessible!

So does this mean anyone with a failed MB is now f****d?
