I'm pretty sure we try to stay away from controversial topics here. That is why we don't have a "politics" forum.

So it was global warming that set snowfall records in my area this year?

was it also man-made CO2 that caused the tropical temperatures in the mesozoic?

I never said we should just toss our garbage into the streets.

I just proved my point on what "controversial" meant.

if half the world wanted to believe that the sky was green, then talking about the sky being blue would be controversial. basically, it means that from any sample set of people, approximately half will agree and half will disagree.

Computerhopes policy on political and controversial subjects goes like this:

Yes, you can certainly have debates on these things, however, leave it at debates.

If it even goes near argument from debate, the topic will be locked.
Other things that will cause it to be locked:
Topics that put minorities down, topics that users may find personally offensive, issues that can cause emotional harm, and anything that is just rude, obscene, or not considering others feelings.

We have "Unseasonably warm" weather here, do you know what we call it? A WARM FRONT! Especially considering that the west side of Washington had unseasonably cold weather for the same amount of time as the warm weather.
I dont think Global Warming is happening at the rate they think it is, and I think that its part of a cycle that we go through. I do think we should do things to slow it down, and that we should look at alternative energy.

If nothing else, pollution affects air quality and air quality affects people health.

the thing I don't understand about the whole deal is that Co2 is heavier then air, and so would sink and cover the biosphere, not rise and create a blanket that warms the Oxygen and nitrogen, both gases which are lighter then Co2.

Of course it would be this heavier quality that would give the gas it's insulative power... but I'm not sure how more if it could get high into the air then oxygen and nitrogen, it all mixes together.

CO2 interacts with some of the other gasses, or something like that.

I thought that was how ChloroflouroCarbons (CFCs) broke up the ozone?
