Recent research indicates that global warming can be attributed solely to the effect of Tom Selleck's mustache on women.

I don't believe in global warming at all.
Statistics will say whatever you want them to.

Exactly.

of course- it doesn't mean we shouldn't try to recycle, reuse, etc... but if we're going to, we shouldn't be doing it in the the name of some apocolyptic event that somehow happens both incredibly slowly and is accelerating extremely fast, and causes both hot and cold temperatures in varying locations, kind of like, you know... weather.

Scientist 1:Dear god! I calculated all the temperatures from the thermometer readings for the year, and the average temperature has gone up an average of 1 degree!

Scientist 2:OMG!

Scientist 3:hey what are you guys getting all excited about. Oh, don't use that thermometer, the scale is set 1 degree to low.

Scientist 4: OUCH! my hair is so hot!

Scientist 5: it appears to be on fire.

Scientist 4: could you confirm your observation with some facts

Scientist 5: <takes thermometer>

Scientist 4: well? what are your results?

Scientist 5: you are not on fire. the reading is off. it says, "00E"

Scientist 2: you're reading it upside down.

Scientist 5: AHH, my lab coat! It's on fire! put me out!

Scientist 4: HOLD ON! I'll get another thermometer!

Scientist 5: AHHH

Scientist 2: I'll help!

*they go off, searching for a thermometer, meanwhile, scientist 5 burns to cinders*

Scientist 5: OK, we're back! alright, hold still...

Scientist 2: weird, only 20 degrees centigrade

Scientist 5: OMG! he lost weight! he must be infected! OK, gas masks everyone, we have a contagious disease here!

I find it amusing that BC was the first to reply to this topic, stating his dislike of the topic, and he has made more comments than anyone else in this topic. :P

Well, folks here in the USA we reused spent items more in the 1950's
than we do now.

Which of us shall live long enough to cause the carbon footprints of Al Gore?
He has 2 homes about 10,000 square foot in size and a jet.Yet he preaches
the lifestyle of a cave dweller.

I believe the earth is a living thing. If we goof it up too bad it will stop us.

lol---->http://www.infiniteunknown.net/2008/11/14/global-warning-we-are-actually-heading-towards-a-new-ice-age-claim-scientists/

If I knew the answer,you wouldn't be here. ;D

Sorry,The USA has ruined the language The United Kingdom loaned us. We do our best not to type gibberish. I Hope you can forgive us.

A topic like global warming will probably end up as nothing but a debate. Its like talking politics, treat the forum like an in-law, don't say nothin' to the forum you wouldn't say to an in-law. This is one of the topics you don't bring up with an in-law... Or, on a forum...
