    Can't start the desktop in safe mode

    It says on my desktop screen:

      My husband said that the norton popped up and we don't even have norton installed on the desktop he tried to start it in safe mode and he couldn't even do that

        Also your husband said that the computer had  restated and when you turned it on this morning you got that message on the screen:
