DVD Burner -- SATA vs IDE?
    « on: January 16, 2009, 08:24:28 AM »
I'm looking at purchasing a DVD/CD burner through Newegg.  This is for an older Windows 2000 machine.  It would mainly be used for CD burning.  Apparently the burner is SATA vs IDE.  Not sure what all that means, but do you know whether there would be any compatibility issues with Windows 2000?  I know I have to buy a SATA cable separately, but should I have other concerns?
