« on: April 18, 2005, 07:23:10 AM »
I have set up various  times tables (ie  1X2 = , 2X2= etc) that I want students to enter in the correct value where a cell in that row will show TRUE or FALSE. I now wish to automaticaly add up all the TRUE answers, Can anybody advsie how I can do this. I am using Exel 2002.

You could do it several ways.
One is to use the "if" function.  Place a formula similar to this is a cell and then copy it down to all the others.  Sum the results in other column and hide and protect this column.

=IF(E3 = TRUE,1,0)
