    WOT and firefox.
    « on: January 19, 2009, 12:36:09 PM »
I installed WOT on my FF3 now i can't get rid of the WOT button on the taskbar. When i customize the toolbar to not show the button it comes back when i close and open FF. Does this happen with everyone and is there a way to stop it showing up?

    Taskbar, or status bar?

If you are talking about beside the address bar (like mine), you can't get rid of it.

hmmmm that's quite annoying. I might have to uninstall it then.

Right-click the WOT button and click "Settings...".
      Go to the "Advanced" tab.
Uncheck the box next to "Re-create the toolbar button if it gets removed (recommended)".
      Click "Apply settings".

Now you can remove the WOT button the same way you would remove any other button.
Happiness is not getting what you want, it is wanting what you get.

If I may...what's the reason to have WOT, if it won't display any info??

Mainly for the search engine results, i wasn't aware that the button gave out information about the site you were already on so i didn't realise there was any reason for it being there.

Plus WOT still displays a warning if you try to go to a site it has blacklisted.
