I have a HP scanjet 5500c series I know that it is a older scanner but I really hate to buy a new one if I can get this one to work again. It just quit working. This is the message I get: An error occurred communicating with the scanning device. Please ensure that the scanner is connected properly.
this is what I have done: changed out the cables.
unistalled and reinstalled the softwear several times
even had my computer guy look at it
any help would be great before I go buy a new one.
