    Windows XP error -- config/system
    « on: January 22, 2009, 02:02:24 PM »
Laptop computer show a file missing or damaged error when booting up.  System32/config/system file.
I have a disc from the Tech guy for Windows XP, but it will not autorun, so I moved to dos and went to the "D" drive and find several files in the directory. But my knowledge of dos from 15 years ago is doing me no good.

Can I run the CD to fix the "config" file?
